For most people, psychic gifts need to be relearned in each lifetime. The world is vibrationally distinct in each lifetime — and so is your physical body. It is only natural that you would have to relearn how to be energetically in relationship to yourself and to the world. This is particularly true about how we relate to our soul’s journey and foreknowing future aspects of it.

Whatever your soul planned to do here before you incarnated on Earth has probably changed. Especially if you incarnated before 1972. Humanity changed. The planet changed. Whatever your soul decided to do here on Earth before you incarnated has probably changed.

During the past 50 or so years, there have been multiple shifts in our reality that our souls did not anticipate. Depending on when in our linear timeline your soul decided upon this lifetime’s goals and challenges, you may be experiencing yourself as disconnected from your own life. Isolation is one symptom I commonly hear from clients, as well as the sensation of floating away from the physical life you are living. From my experience, this simply means that what your mind may think is your soul’s journey is no longer your soul’s journey.

Most of us have been told by someone at some point either what our soul’s journey is, or have figured it out for ourselves. For me, I feel that no one can fully understand or know the journey of anyone’s soul. Not even our own. But we can have senses about what we are drawn to do in this lifetime, and how we are to do it.

Because of the dramatic changes that have already taken place and the increasing pace of future changes, I find it useful to revisit the trajectory of the journey of one’s soul on a regular basis.

The soul’s journey is more apt, at this point in time, to be revealed first to your body, then to your heart, and finally to your brain. Once entered into, your new soul’s journey will continue to weave and shift throughout your lifetime. Learning how to monitor and adapt to changes in your soul’s journey is most useful.

As you explore your journey, it is your mind that is able to look backwards and tell you where you have been. It is the heart and body that can look into the present moment and tell you where you are. Together, the mind, heart and body can chart a potential path for your future. But this is usually the near future, as your external world continues to shift and change.

I am emphasizing here that the brain can only look back at what has already happened. Most of us use our minds as the determiner of what to do. This leads us to repeat old patterns and repeat the same unwanted results. When this happens it is easy to assume that we are not in touch with our inner spiritual life or outer world.

But perhaps there is another reason. We experience the present moment most strongly not as thoughts but as kinesthetic sensations in our body. Simply put, the body lives only in the present moment. The mind remembers the past and can anticipate the future. Our minds therefore live without being anchored in the present moment. This can be very helpful, but not if you are trying to understand your soul’s journey right here and right now.

Big Picture Information from Thoth:
About 1997 our system of creating linear time changed. Because of this our psychic ability no longer sees the future with the ease it once did. This is because we are no longer creating our future probabilities in the same way as we were before.

Our new system of psychic perception of the future looks more like this: Our body sees where we are in the present moment. That information rises to our heart center. The heart feels our relationship to this present moment. Do we like it and want to extend our experience or are we ready to move onto some other experience? Our heart answers this question and sends the information to our brain. Our brain collects the information from our body and heart, adds its own ability to see the past and comes up with the most likely potential future.

Remember that our brains do have the ability to live in the past, present and future. As humans, we are stepping into an exploration of creating outside of linear time. The first step in this exploration is comprehending how linear time functions. We must first understand time in order to understand how not to be subject to time.

In geometry (and I promise this will be easy, so please keep reading) there is a basic concept that if you have one point and then decide on a second point, you can draw a line between them. That line can extend beyond those two points into infinity in both directions. So you only need two points in space to define linear time. Where you have been and where you are.

What we are now able to do is change the point that exists in our past. By looking back and clearing past patterns the point behind us changes its location. That means the line drawn between our past and our present naturally changes. Our potential future changes every time we address, clear and release issues from our past.

I’m not talking past lives here. My guides are clearly stating that by addressing this life’s issues we change this life’s future. When we make changes in this lifetime those changes echo out to all of our other lifetimes and offer healing changes into those lifetimes. Since our bodies exist in the here and now, making changes in the here and now will get you the biggest results.

The head has to have the other partners, the body and heart, in order to see where it is going. If it is just looking backwards all that it can tell you is where you have been, which means you are going to create more of the past rather than utilize the new elements that are available to you now to create a different future.

How to get in touch with your body – a simple meditation
Lie down on your back. Bend your knees so your feet are flat on the floor or surface you are lying on. This naturally pressed your lower back against the surface you are on, and opens up the pelvic region to increased energy flow.

Feel the breath in your body. Feel the breath in your lower body. Breathe as if you could breathe from your feet up through your knees and into your belly. Your hips move and your lower back expands every time you breathe. Take normal-sized breaths. How easy can that quality of breath be in your body? Follow that quality of breath as you imagine the breath entering from your lower body. Let it exit wherever it wants to exit. At some point you may fall asleep, go into a light trance or meditation state. You might also notice that the direction of the breath seems to change. Just notice whatever you notice. Let your body’s wisdom tell your mind something that your mind cannot know on its own.

This is a time of exploration. What has your body been wanting to tell you?

Terrence Malik’s latest movie, The Tree of Life, seeks to uncover that experience in us. It is an exercise in being alive in the moment. I say “exercise” because it is two hours and eighteen minutes long. You really have to want to be there. But if you are in a meditative mood and you trust Malick’s ability to show you what you’re missing whilst you’re dreaming you’re awake, this is the movie for you.

The setting for this movie is a little difficult to describe. You might say that it takes place somewhere in small-town America in the 1950s, or you could say it spans the entire lifespan of our solar system. Either explanation would be correct, but only partially. More accurately, it is a delving into the soul, mostly that of the main character, a boy/middle-aged man struggling to understand his relationship with his father and mother and, ultimately, with God. Told through symbols and metaphor, this soulscape is the main backdrop of the story. Industrial settings are cold and vacuous, bereft of meaning, surrounded by opulence and yet utterly impoverished. Early childhood memories are shrouded in mist and fraught with contradiction and ambiguity. The father’s earthly dream of success becomes the nightmare for those who have to share the same house with it. Prehistoric battles for survival presage sibling rivalry – who will be loved, and who will not? Cosmic beginnings rumble with deafening silence, echoing in our deepest chambers the litany of fire that can either transform or obliterate.

Because of these monumental images, The Tree of Life is one of those movies best seen on the big screen. It is artistically stunning – the best inspirations from Hubble laid out in National Geographic-style glossy detail. Interspersed throughout are visions of the dawn of creation, rendered with rich color and vivid imagination. The world feels stripped of its future – you see it without a sense of time or direction but rather like a dream drifting in its own tempo. Suns are born from gas clouds, the Earth boils with fire, slowly cooling and setting the stage for the first squigglings of life. Jellyfish billow up from the depths toward the light. A plesiosaur lies on the beach contemplating the wound that life is, while a school of hammerhead shark swirl, searching for its bloody trail – life’s raw energy fiercely ignorant of all but its own exigent purposes.

In all of this, the arrogance of a modern perspective is swept aside, subdued by the grandeur and sheer presence of a world so remote that our own time, with all of its complexity and self-importance, ceases to exist, not even as a possibility. Later, when we enter the family life of the main characters, this same mood of timelessness overshadows everything. Past is present; present is past. Even the future, as revealed in the end, shows itself as the underlying reality of all that is or ever was.

When we, like the characters in The Tree of Life, have to endure the travails of human existence, we look toward the heavens and ask, “Why? Why me, why here, why now?” We look at the frailty of our skin and wonder why we are made to bruise so easily, our eyes and why they must see brutality, our ears and why they are pierced by lies and the screams of the dying. Why have the ability to feel with our hearts in a world where only the callous seem to get by? Why soft feet when life is sharp and unyielding? Are we a mistake? “Who are we to you? Answer me.” – our prayer spoken for us by one of the characters. And as to Job, God seems to reply, “Who are you to ask such a question? This is big – you have no idea.”

This movie is a slice of life that cuts to the core – profoundly spiritual and moving, a prayer, at once drenched in sorrow and lifted to the highest ecstasy. Of our childhood, we remember that which touches us most deeply. We remember what we have witnessed with the eyes of our soul, those events that shape us, that define us to ourselves, that tell us who we are. There is never a moment when our soul is not aware of the planet we live on, its place in the cosmos, the immensity of the solar wind constantly pouring down upon us the fiery graces that wear away the illusion of a separate life. We know that we are known, but we are mystified by the meaning of it all. Where are we going, what is our purpose here, why do we feel so alone? These are the questions that propel us forward into the mystery of life. And in the end, it is our connection with each other that gives us the answers. We are here together, and by accepting each other and ourselves with grace and humility, we will find our way.

Have you ever wondered if you have a soul? And why, if it exists, and it is yours, you can’t seem to find it? Even if you haven’t asked yourself these questions, wouldn’t you like to know?

Not only is it possible for to connect with your soul, doing so leads to deep peace and true happiness. Everything in the universe is in a state of motion, evolving into some state other than where it is at the present time. You arrived at where you are now through a process that will continue unfolding, expanding, and revealing continuous levels of experience well out into the future.

The soul already has all the qualities that anyone could desire, and by feeling connected with the soul it is possible to bring these qualities into everyday experience, while at the same time initiating a correlative process that dissolves everything that wouldn’t be wanted.

What interferes with experiencing our soul on a continuous basis are the many filters through which we experience life. What we normally think we are is an accumulation of all our perceptions, conclusions, beliefs, reactions, memories and ideas, as well as all the roles we have played utilizing our talents and skills. These comprise our personality, which is like an overlay that masks the true reality of our soul – which lies beneath it all. And yet, these overlays or identities are so compelling that we convince ourselves they are who we are and we lose touch with our deeper reality.

In a true sense, people are already connected with their soul, and they can often know and feel the connection when they are attracted to whatever is beautiful, profound, creative, loving, peaceful and fulfilling, whether through people, activities or nature. You also see the soul reflected in the relentless pursuit of perfection often found in scientists, musicians, artists, athletes, authors, actors, and all others who seek to attain a higher potential. So the soul is present in human experience even if it is not always recognized.

A Soul Meditation
Let’s begin the journey to your soul through a meditation. You will want to arrange yourself to be as comfortable as possible. I would suggest you do this when you won’t be disturbed or have anything else to do.

When you are prepared, settle in and start with a comfortable deep breath in through your nose and imagine you are also breathing in golden light through the top of your head. As you exhale feel yourself relaxing and absorbing the peace and light into every muscle, organ, and nerve…from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes. Breathe in light into every cell. Do this for one minute.

Read the following slowly to yourself and allow yourself to deepen the process into your entire body. Say to your heart: I send you all the love of my soul. Say to your body: I embrace you with all the love of my heart and soul.

Invite the soul’s love to merge into every muscle and nerve, and fill every cell and allow this love to become part of every atom and molecule of your being. Sense the relaxation and healing glow in your whole body and feel it spreading a radiant love all around you.

If there are any disturbances, distractions or issues on your mind, say to yourself, “I ask the light of my soul to fill all my thoughts and feelings about these situations. I send all my thoughts, memories and feelings the pure light and blessings of my soul.”

Feel a relaxed quality emerging through you as you welcome the peaceful soul presence. Say to yourself: “I allow the source of love to embrace my heart. I place my heart in the presence of my enlightened soul so that all may be healed.”

These statements are like prayers and intentions. They are requests of the deepest core of your soul where all goodness dwells. Allow yourself to deepen into the feelings of receiving the love, light and healing that lives in your heart.

Drink in the soul’s qualities and say, “Yes” with thanksgiving. Say, “Yes” to receiving peace, love and healing, and ask them to deepen within you.

“I ask the presence of my soul to deepen in my awareness. I acknowledge the radiance of the soul all around and through me.”

As always, express gratitude for your meditation. When you have finished with this process for this time, be sure to acknowledge yourself fully present and grounded in here and now.

The soul has a wonderful lightness, purity and softness. Notice how any issues that may have seemed strong and dominant are now held much more softly and the feelings of lightness and spaciousness replace any struggle.

The more time you spend with establishing and deepening your soul connection, the more you will feel its qualities and gifts. In the beginning the experience may be quite subtle, but with practice it becomes much more pronounced.

One can only admire Lake Harriet Spiritual Community’s effort to rebrand itself as the “Center for Conscious Living” for the Twin Cities. Of course, it always was so, but who really knew? This move will not only focus LHSC internally to create events that attract a conscious-seeking, mainstream public, but it will help remove whatever mystique may have prevented people from visiting the community before now.

As much as they may pride themselves for being open and accepting, holistic groups tend to speak a language that is not always understood by new arrivals, and newcomers may feel intimidated by the tight-knit clan already in place.

And individually, many holistic types don’t like to make waves. They are sensitive to criticism and judgment, so they tend to keep to themselves and avoid setting themselves up to be burned at the stake. The fear of reaction is what stops many of us from stepping out of the closet and allowing the full expression of our souls to be seen.

The key is knowing that the public is seeking a more holistic way of life – through spirituality, healing, natural products, and a natural perspective in this all-too processed world.

The key is collaboration, exactly what Lake Harriet and other groups are doing. By partnering with more mainstream neighbors, it allows groups to embrace values they share in common. Seek ways for everyone to come out a winner. Collaboration is the key to the evolution of consciousness in the 21st century.

Author Ruth Montgomery was one of the first to coin the phrase “Walk-In” in her book, Strangers Among Us, referring to a soul transformation. Walk-Ins are souls who enter a body when the original soul has either completed its task or development or has suffered a traumatic experience and is ready to move on.

It is believed that many Walk-Ins are now in body on Earth to assist the planet with its vibrational shift. Marilyn Harper and Adironnda & Company, through their collective guidance, are being directed to gather walk-ins, their family and friends together October 7-9 in Phoenix, AZ, for the debut Walk-Ins Welcome Conference.

Anyone attracted to the terms “walk-in,” “soul transformation” or “galactic being” are invited to this event that will educate, support and connect the walk-in experience. The conference will take place at Embassy Suites Phoenix North, and registration is at Adironndaspiritualhealer/walk-ins/ Special discounts on hotel rooms are available until September 7.

Those connected with the Walk-In experience say many such souls enter the body without conscious memory, and the adjustment can be jarring and detrimental for the person as well as family and friends. The Walk-ins Welcome Conference offers support to make the transition smoother.

Guest speakers will include:

Lenedra Carroll – Author of The Architecture of All Abundance, Lenedra is an artist, poet, author, entrepreneur, singer and philanthropist. She has also managed the career of her daughter, singer/songwriter Jewel.

David K. Miller – Founder of the Group of Forty, as directed by the Arcturians. He channels spiritual masters such as Sananda, Vywamus, the Arcturians, and the energies of the Archangels.

Are you ready and preparing for the next level of your life? What could you accomplish if more of your spiritual capacity was activated or switched on? Light body expert William Henry will visit Minneapolis August 19-20 to guide participants on a powerful exploration of mind-body-spirit potential and teach timeless tools for transformation and completing the journey to wholeness…or even holiness by connecting with your True Self.

“The Anointed: Manifest Your Soul’s Potential and Your Greatest Life” will take place from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel, 2901 Chicago Ave. S. The cost is $125 by August 1, $150 afterward, at 615.292.5397 or whenrytn@earthlink.net.

Henry will lead a special visit to the “Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs” exhibition at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Reserve your ticket to this event at www.smm.org/tut/ or call 651).221.9444 or toll-free 1.800.221.9444.

Henry is an author, investigative mythologist and host of “Revelations” radio. He is a guide into the transformative power of art and symbols of human ascension.

The Anointed is a soul journey using hundreds of slides of ancient and sacred art that transmits divine energy, illuminates our path and connects you to the secrets of enlightenment with more power and clarity. As the ancients have said, “The image will show you the Way” and reveal how the great transformation is done. The result is an experience that speaks to and empowers knowledge and energy deep within you – your light body, your True Self. The group mind of the weekend opens the heart and helps to enlighten each other by using the power of our collective imagination to focus and reflect our highest selves.

The event is open to those who are just beginning to explore the secrets of soul and the light body, as well as those who are accomplished healers or experienced practitioners of such modalities as The Reconnection or Matrix Energetics or other systems.

The Sunday museum tour will allow you to walk with Henry among the history of some of ancient Egypt’s most significant rulers, including Tut’s relatives, with artifacts immersing you in the daily life, religion and ascension practices that took place under the rule of the pharaohs.

To me, the very thought of the Deity is as bright, effulgent day beams.

But we know it can take quite a dark night of the soul to jolt us out of habitual treadmills enough to grok: “What does it matter if we gain the whole world, but lose our own souls?” So, the value of heroes and great persons might be that there may be greater persons.

They inspire us by their example of what it can look like today, not 2,000 years ago, to squarely face and embody uplifting truth, meaning every word you say, every move you make, with your whole heart, even for one hour.

So, why must we continue to stone the prophets and crucify saints? When that which we’ve wished for, longed for – wise and beautiful (inside) fellow human beings, faulty enough so that we can relate to them, come before us as living proof that it can be done – when at last they appear in our midst, what is so ignorant as not to realize it? What is so crude as to hurl insults at them?

All I know is that when such a one consents to shine there in my presence, I – though I stand alone – will hold Sabbath welcome, hushed and still, with reverence for the Deity in us all, for angels among us.

Several years ago, I entered a three-week retreat, during which time I disconnected from everyone and everything. Something hugely powerful and irresistible was pulling me away from the outside world, towards an unknown inner journey of reflection, release and renewal. It was as if I had an appointment for which I was not ready. An alchemical process was going to catalyze something within me, my intuition told me, which was going to get me ready by dissolving what might be in the way, by renovating my mind and heart, and restoring my soul to wholeness. After the retreat, I would be able to enter and engage the future that was calling for a more authentic, free, and powerful self.

One day, resting on the blue couch in my lounge room, my eyes closed. Shortly after, they opened, but I was no longer in my home in Richmond; I was sitting on the banks of the Ganges river in the ancient city of Varanasi. I was at one of the several “burning ghats,” stone steps where hundreds of cremations occur every day. Bodies are placed on wooden pyres, set alight with ghee, and priests chant sacred mantras while the body burns to ashes. There I was, in some spirit, astral form, sitting quietly, watching this, taking it in.

I could feel the whole of the recently-left life of each person, not in specific ways, but in a general way, as in remembering a play I had once seen, recalling the essential drama of it, and a few highlights. I could feel the many ways in which people lived, the ways in which they gave themselves too often to things that did not really matter – to worries and concerns, to activities and aspirations, to quarrels and squabbles? How did they really matter? I also felt how quickly each body journeyed from birth, through the drama of life, to these burning cradles that were birthing them out of this world.

Some invisible guide, a kind of unseen presence, asked me, “What makes life truly worth living? Look how quickly it all ends. It’s just a day, though it seems like forty, fifty, maybe eighty years. It’s a day. What is important? What makes life worth living? What makes the difference between a well-lived life, and one squandered on petty things?”

What I discovered in this shamanic journey to a sacred city by the banks of a holy river, where they burn to ashes hundreds of human bodies every day, is that “the difference” we want to make is about a way of living. It is a choice between petty concerns, mindlessness, sadness, negativity, cynicism – and clarity, truth, meaning and purpose. And while these last words are abstract, perhaps idealistic, they are also as real as the very ground we stand upon.

I already knew that there is something written in each person’s heart, in the scripture of their soul, that is their map for an authentic life, such that if they follow it, if they follow the paths of that map, they will live a well-lived life, a significant life, a life without regret, or sadness or meanness. They will live a full, unique, joyful, exuberant life. I knew that. But now I know it more fully, as if a brighter light has been installed in each cell of my being.

I came to understand, with a kind of urgency, that making a difference is really choosing a way of living. Making a difference is not something we do, but rather a lifestyle we choose, one that flows from the words inscribed in the scripture of our heart, of our soul; and in this way of purposeful living we are a constant blessing to ourselves and to others.

We are a walking seed and spark that awakens and fires the imagination of others towards a similar way of living.

Making a difference may involve community service; it may not. The ways in which each of us will make a difference by definition and necessity will flow out from our inner being. First, we choose the difference between true and false, between authentic and inauthentic. Then, we act. Then, we make the difference that has already been made within us through our choice as to how we are going to live. In the end, making a difference is not idealistic or philosophical. It is practical, and inevitable.

I understood that the size and scope of what we do is not important. Our life may be huge and daring and world-shaking, or it may be small and quiet and unrecognized by the masses or media. What matters, what makes the difference, is the fragrance we emit, the intoxicating aura we carry, as we fulfill whatever roles we are called to by the secret that only we know, the secret revealed to us when we enter the deep and beautiful sacred place of our heart to read what is written there for us. That is what counts. That’s how we live a well-lived life.

We find the way that is ours alone. That is the way in which we can bring forth the most glorious self that is ours alone. And, paradoxically, we never go on this path alone, for we are always within the community of others who are making a difference in the same way – from the center of their spiritual universe.

This is the difference every human being wants to make: to live an authentic life of deep meaning, of significance, of connection to existence itself. When the petty preoccupations of unexamined busyness are struck down and taken apart by our deeper knowing and feeling, we become expansive and elevated as in those moments where time gives way to eternity, where self-concern gives way to a greater belonging, where things we have no words for become our constant companions and trusted friends. The difference that we all want to make is the difference we make through choice and devotion and love, by choosing an authentic life, the life only we can live: the choice between depth and surface, between significance and pettiness, between courage and fear, between possibility and cynicism, between clarity and doubt, between connection and alienation, between generosity and greed, between imagination and recitation, between creativity and repetition. It is certainly a choice between freedom and bondage, between magic and mundane.

Magic. Yes. There is great magic in choosing an authentic life. I know this is true. I can tell you this because I have experienced this directly. When we open our heart and unshutter our soul, we find unimagined things are suddenly possible. We uncover creative and expressive powers that are not from learning and experience, not from courses and certifications, but from our very nature. We suddenly feel that the blood pumping through us, circulates through every living thing; that’s how close, how joined, how similar we would become with everything else, with all of existence.

We awaken to a world that is not fixed and certain, but one that shape-shifts to fit the contours of our map, the one drawn in our heart from the beginning of time. This world, awakened by the magic within us, becomes a story waiting to be told, about a life of dimensions and levels and nuances and subtleties of music and mystery and miracle where anything is possible, where anything can happen from any place at any time without reason or cause. This is the difference that magic makes, and that we make with magic.

This difference comes from who we are, from consciously choosing to live from that deep place inside us, now wide open; from that secret being revealed for the first time, spoken and told with every word, made real and true with every step, every move, every act. Then, all our doing is a blessing.

A blessing. We become a blessing. We are a blessing. When it is our turn to be turned to ashes, and that time is coming fast for all of us, people who knew us would both mourn the loss and be wildly joyful that we lived. They would laugh and cry and spin around like mad little children too full of excitement and wonder. And those who didn’t know us might, for some inexplicable reason, stop what they are saying and doing, and feel something move deep within, as if a comet were streaking across the sky of their soul.

And we, and our enduring spirit, would be happy, very happy. Delighted. Ecstatic. Yes, because we would have chosen a well-lived life, we would have been, and made, that supreme difference.

The following channeling of Alexander is an excerpt from the book Spirit Wisdom II: The Enlightened Warrior’s Guide to Personal and Cultural Transformation.

Every culture, from aboriginal tribe to complex civilization, recognizes the significance and esoteric mystery of dreams. Modern Western thought, its vision narrowed by the blinders of materialism, struggles to make sense of dreams. Dreams are variously explained as: the random static of neurological chaos; a means of emotionally processing the day’s events; or the symbolic patina on material rising from the deeper strata of the psyche.

While your conscious mind clings to its waking perceptions as “real” and struggles to make sense of its dreamtime imagery, the fact is that you must sleep and dream. Maintaining the illusions of physical life places great strain on consciousness, which must be “relieved” by restoration to its natural state. In other words, the realm of sleep and dreams is the native state of consciousness, and operates according to natural principles, whereas the illusion of physical reality is a self-generated hallucination that can be sustained for only so long before consciousness must seek relief from operating in such an unnatural state.

The Wall of the Self
At night, when you release the illusion of physical life and return to your natural state, you commune with your higher self to compare your experiences to the life theme and goals it has established.

Two “selves” are involved in the dream exchange: the authentic self and the waking self. The authentic self is the “real” you, a body of consciousness composed of your higher self, your reincarnational and probable selves, and the unique soul or individualized spark of consciousness that animates your mind and body. Probable and reincarnational selves, along with the soul, are embedded within the higher self, which in turn is cocooned within even greater bodies of consciousness. This is the real you, the authentic self.

For you to function effectively in the world of physical illusion, there must be a wall of separation between waking and authentic selves. The wall of separation is nothing more than a difference in the frequencies on which the two realms operate. The ego, holding the body’s safety as its primary concern, tightens its focus to the slow, dense frequencies perceived by the senses – while the faster frequencies of natural consciousness whir undetected.

Breaching the Wall
The ego evaporates as you fall asleep. With the ego’s low, earth-based frequency dissolving, consciousness is liberated to flow toward its natural frequencies. The early, light stages of sleep are a period of gradual acceleration of consciousness; the day’s experiences are processed during this transitional phase, teased apart into their physical/emotional/mental/spiritual components, examined for their relevance or irrelevance to one’s life theme, evaluated for their significance to life’s deeper purpose.

In a sense, this is a period of sifting and sorting through the mementos and souvenirs of each day’s earthly experience, separating the precious from the petty. Those experiences ripe with significance are retained and passed on to higher levels of consciousness for more meticulous examination. This early, light phase of sleep still operates through the boundary between waking and authentic selves, and it ensures that only deeply significant events pass through to higher levels of consciousness.

Deep Communion
The phase of deep communion can be envisioned as multiple strands of consciousness, humming at varying frequencies, intermingling and exchanging tendrils of information across permeable boundaries. The waking self’s consciousness must “ascend” — accelerating its vibration — while the higher self “descends” – decelerating its furious whirl – and they meet on common ground, at a mutually compatible frequency.

In deep communion, the individual strands of consciousness rising from probable and reincarnational selves intertwine with strands flowing from the higher self, and at the point of intersection a rich vibrational dialogue ensues. Powerful daytime events, the body’s overall health, the swelling tide of thought — all these are carried as vibrational matrices flowing from each individualized soul to its higher self. The higher self evaluates these strands in light of its intended growth and experience for a lifetime, to determine whether the waking self is “on track” or veering off into unanticipated, and possibly detrimental, paths of experience.

Freedom and free will are the cornerstones of your system, and a higher self never directly intervenes in the lives of its offshoots. It sets them up with certain characteristics, tethers them to a specific life theme, selects a birth mother, and then releases them. From there, the waking self takes over, aided by the powerful but undetected influence of the higher self. Final choices always rest with the waking self; it has every power and right to backslide into retrograde and primitive behaviors despite its higher self’s expectation of growth toward enlightenment.

At the nexus between each offshoot and its higher self during deep communion, after the offshoot has offered vibratory fragments of its day’s experience, the higher self offers a flow of responsive material. Couched in dispassionate respect, the higher self proffers its comparison of the offshoot’s anticipated growth versus its actual experience. The great probable swirl of potential choices is laid before the offshoot, the better for it to understand how it came to actualize one slender strand and what alternative potentials lie ahead. The danger of further entwining karmic ties with others, as opposed to loosening them, is emphasized, for all karmic bonds must be dissolved before earthly life can be released.

Each offshoot also shares, to a greater or lesser degree, information and experience with its brethren offshoots. The insight and inspiration you may occasionally feel upon awaking – a sudden zest to face your challenges with redoubled vigor and determination — stems from deep communion with your brethren selves offering their wisdom for your benefit.

In deep communion, each offshoot offers its day’s experiences to the higher self, which responds with a flow of guidance and direction to encourage the offshoot to stay the steady course of growth toward enlightenment and release of karmic bonds. Among probable and reincarnational selves, experiences and wisdom are swapped in a free-flowing exchange which encourages all participants to face their waking challenges with renewed strength and creativity.

For such a long time, the only voice I seemed to hear was that of fear; not a whispering but a bellowing that overpowered my soul’s voice. Then I finally woke up from the night terror of fear and heard the gentle whispering of my soul. And the message it sends is that love is the most important thing.

In listening to the guidance of my soul, a whisper that shouts at times, I have pushed fear aside and become truly alive. I took an early retirement from a well-paying career and decided to go back to school, but soon found I didn’t want another career, I just wanted to experience the joy of learning. I am no longer afraid of the world; I have traveled on my own to Chicago and this spring I venture on my own to Portland, OR.

The true nature of generosity has filled my soul and I volunteer in order to give back the gift of time that I have been given. And as much as I have loved living my life thus far in Minnesota, I plan on finally settling in Portland when I hear my Inner Self guide me at the right time. I have learned that the voice inside of me is much stronger and wiser than any voice I hear outside of me.

There was a good satisfying feeling Thanksgiving night after being with the relatives and having a wonderful meal. I was going to leave the party earlier but had decided to stay and play bingo — lots of fun. I was on my way home to let the dogs out, and then I was off to my step-daughter’s. I drove into the garage, shutting the door as usual, and moved quickly and habitually into the house.

I was not thinking, but just present in the moment, when I heard strange sounds coming from the bedroom and lights were on. Moving quickly and alertly, I stood in the bedroom doorway shouting “What the h— are you doing here.”

I am an imposing figure at 6’5″ and the intruder jumped quickly across the bed trying to launch himself out the patio door window, but just bounced off. I moved around the bed to grab him, but he got around me. I went into the hallway in pursuit. The garage door was ajar. He was trapped. I charged him hoping to stop and subdue him. Still no thinking, no fear. He moved like a street fighter and ducked as I tried to body slam him. I tumbled over him as he crouched down. I got a piece of him, but not enough. I scrambled up off the floor and out the kicked-in front door.

There he was talking to an accomplice across the road above the parking lot. “Where did we park the car?”

With my first thought since entering the house, I decided to call 911. Going back into the house I breathlessly reported the burglary. I returned to the road looking for them. I noticed the burglar holding a pink pillowcase bulging at the bottom — my pillowcase. They started moving toward me and I thought, “What if they have a weapon?” I moved back into the house. I paused for a short time and went outside again to see them drive off in a white Olds with the lights turned off so I could not read the plates.

Surveying the damage

Back in the house, the bedroom was a mess. Still no fear, but thinking had returned. Drawers were open, things were scattered, cash and checks were missing, the bedroom lamp was broken. The police arrived quickly, but my ability to tell the story returned slowly. Pieces came out as they asked their questions. “What did he look like? How old was he? Were they driving a car? What did it look like?”

As I calmed down a little, I gave the information. I was understanding what the police must feel like after a hot pursuit.

Squad cars and a police helicopter were looking for the men. Shortly, the police radio reported an abandoned Olds and a captured subject found under the base of the freeway.

“Let’s go and see if he was the burglar.” Riding in the back of a police car was new to my tall frame. Barely fitting in, he took me to the freeway under the bridge to the waiting squad car.

“Was this the man?”

“Yes, it was him,” I said.

“OK, then.” We drove off.

A few blocks away, we pulled up at the end of a residential driveway. “Yes, that was the white Olds, same tail lights,” I said. We went back home to find the CSI person asking questions. She took photos of the rooms and footprints in the snow, gathered DNA samples and fingerprints. She found a cell phone on the bed that the burglar had dropped.

The larger picture

After she left, I was alone. I decided to do a channeling to ask my spirit helpers about this event. The larger picture was that I had pursued this person in another life and had killed him on the battlefield. This was the undoing of that event in that he got away with his life. Since that death, his lives and experiences on earth have been difficult. This now could change, because he was caught and would be offered the help he needed to turn his life around. I needed to receive some healing myself to remove the protective energetic breastplate that covered my heart. One cannot kill without protecting the heart, so I asked the spirit helpers to do their healing work on me. I was aware of my feelings in this experience of no judgment, just understanding and compassion for the burglar.

I was told in a reading that I had the next day that I was about 80 percent complete with the compassion and finished with the understanding, but the third thing that I needed to learn was that his soul was equal to mine. We all are equal. I had not thought of that. Yes, it is truth.
