With over 200 Facebook friends, I have an online family that includes: relatives, high school/college friends, writer/artist friends, friends from my time living abroad, and a few people who were suggested as friends. My first coach bus trip took me from Minnesota to Lebanon, Ore., as an exchange student in 1972. It was the longest and farthest I'd ever been away from home.
